Habenular nuclei
A part of the epithalamus that receives input from the basal ganglia and limbic system. It integrates senses and is involved in emotional, behavioural functions.
The medial part mostly consists of cholinergic neurons whilst the lateral parts have mostly dopaminergic and serotonergic neurons.
